Hello!  We had a great meeting on Friday, September 16th.  Here are a few things I want to share from that meeting:

The Chili Cook-Off has been cancelled, not enough folks responded or they were going to be out of town.  We may try again with a Gumbo Cook-Off during the Mardi Gras Parade in Clarendon in February – stay tuned!

The Annual Luncheon is on November 16th at 12:00 at the Knights of Columbus.  This is a wonderful event for us all to get together and celebrate the work we do.  If you are interested in helping with the coordination of the event, contact Karen Albert at karenalbertva@verizon.net.

Do you want to have a fundraiser that’s easy and fun?  The Civitan’s need your help with their Monthly Markets at the I-66 parking lots near the Education Center.  They need help on Friday evenings for set-up and Saturday’s during the event.   They can pay $10.00 per hour to the hard workers!  Two more this year – October 1, and November 5.  Contact Chris Wahl for further information: chriswah4@gmail.com.
