January Meeting Notes

Attendees: Kim Durand (Rotary), Khalid Siraj (Kiwanis), Joe Lott (Rotary), Shawn Kelley (Host Lions), Virginia McGee (Zonta), Karen Albert (Zonta).

Invoices for 2011 dues will be sent out over the next week.

We’ll be sending out a survey to members to get an idea of when/where they might like to meet.  The objective is to get more participation from ISCC members.

We discussed the various committees and asked that members reach out to their clubs and encourage participation.  The committees are as follows:

Luncheon Committee
Sign Committee
Arlington County Fair
Chili Cook-Off
Leadership Arlington Youth Program
Blog / Website
Historian
OTHERS??

We still have open positions on the current ISCC Board.  If you are interested in sitting on the board, please contact Kim Durand.

The United Way is reaching out to the ISCC.  The attendees agree that it would be appropriate to have the United Way as a speaker to talk about opportunities to work together.

Vance Murphy is the new Salvation Army Chaplain – he also happens to be a Kiwanian.
